 Korean-English-Filipino Pharse book Project

Practice Guide

project  outline

Language is the vehicle of human thought. Although Korean students and Filipino students try to communicate each other, there are many difficulties due to the language barrier. Moreover, students want to learn each other's language, but there are no proper books to do so. Thus, we have been  published the Korean-English- Tagalog Dictionary after 2006 every year. And we have drawn up a project to make a Korean - Filipino  Pharse book through the medium of English. While carrying out this project, we are able to reach an understanding of both nations' culture as well as each other's language. Also, through the learners' interaction in the process of carrying out this project, students can learn to work with each other and gain team spirit.

Conclusion and anticipated effect

By carrying out the project of the Korean - Filippino Pharse book, we expect to not only get a deep understanding about our mother tongue but also to increase our command of English. Also, our understanding of the Korean and Tagalog language will help Korean and Filipino students to communicate with each other and to help us to understand each other's culture. Because this kind of project requires each group member's cooperation, we expect to influence each other in a positive way and to raise the attitudes of learning with mutual cooperation.

Matters that require attention in teaching

1. Let them use a variety of data such as Internet search, books, dictionary and so on.
2. While carrying on this project, let them ask the teacher for advice.
3. You can give them this project as an individual task or a group task

4. You can make a group in the same grade of the same class.

5. To prevent them from investigating the same parts, the teacher will have to distribute pharses to each group.

6. The teachers should teach students the Korean Roman alphabet.
